Former Bears QB is Signing with the Giants
As announced by the team, the Giants have signed QB Matt Barkley to their practice squad:
Barkley was drafted back in 2013, and has bounced around a couple of different teams since. In 2016, Barkley signed with the Bears, and served as the 3rd string QB. After injuries kept the starter and backup out, Barkley started in 6 games.
In 7 games and 6 of them being starts with the Bears, Barkley finished with a 1-5 record, throwing for 1,611 yards, 8 touchdowns, along with 14 interceptions.
After that season, Barkley began to bounce around to different teams again, and now, he is signing with the Giants practice squad.
