Former Bears TE and Pro Bowler BASHES on his former Team for Disappointing Past Years
The Bears were beating the Lions 26-14 with just 4 minutes left, but after some poor play-calling, the Lions ended up winning, and beating the Bears 31-26.
After the game, former Bears tight end Martellus Bennett sent out his frustration onto Twitter, calling out the Bears ownership:
As seen in the tweet, Bennett wrote:
"Bears ownership lacks futurism. The entire business model is built on selling the past. The 85 bears. They're always trying to recreate that old product instead of buying into and producing a new product"
Bennet feels like this team is not investing on the future, but rather is attempting to re-create their old historic team. They are playing old-school, even when the NFL is changing every year.
The Bears have now fallen to a 3-8 record on the season.
