HC Matt LaFleur's 4-word response when asked if he would want Aaron Rodgers back next year
After the Packers drafted Jordan Love back in 2020, Aaron Rodgers did his best to make sure his future replacement never saw the field. The Packers' decision to take Love set a fire under Rodgers, who immediately proceeded to win two straight MVP awards once Love joined the team.
However, it's very clear that Rodgers has been struggling a lot this season so far in Green Bay and this has many fans and analysts questioning whether or not Rodgers should still be under center next season for the Packers.
Well, if you ask head coach Matt LaFleur, however, he currently has no doubt as to whether or not he wants Rodgers back next season.
«Yeah, absolutely. Of course,» LaFleur said, via Packers beat reporter Matt Schneidman of The Athletic.
Standing at 4-8, the Packers are still mathematically alive in the playoff race, but that might not be the case for much longer. Once they're officially eliminated, it would make a lot of sense for Green Bay to let Love finish the season and who knows, Love might do to Arod what he did to Brett Favre many years ago...
