The 2022 Pro Bowl took place on Sunday, February 6th. It was not a success. The game turned out to be a touch football game. There was no trying, no hustle and frankly not even that many spectacular plays. It was not a fun experience to watch. But, because the NFL is such a huge sport that has an immense following, people still watched it.

However, the NFL has to make some changes if they want to still make money during the "Super Bowl bye".

First of all, the skills challenges were actually a fun experience. It was cool to see some world-class athletes compete in games like Dodgeball, passing challenges or spectacular catches. If you want guys to compete even more, you should definitely add some great charity bonuses. For example, the guy that wins the 40-yard dash gets a $100 000 donation to his name to the charity of his choice. The same goes for the team that wins a dodgeball competition.

You could also bring back some strong-man competition. In the early 2000's Larry Allen, former offensive lineman for the Cowboys, benched pressed 225 pounds 43 times. 43 TIMES. Those are the kind of things we want to see.

Another idea would be to add in some 1 v 1 receiver versus cornerback. Seeing a Justin Jefferson or a Ceedee Lamb against a Jalen Ramsey or a Stephon Gilmore for a couple of reps. Sign me up.

The NFL has a lot of choices to make the experience better for the fans and the players. It remains to be seen if they will actually make some changes.

SIDE NOTE: I think the game should be replaced by the two worst teams in the NFL play against to decide who gets the first pick. Now you have an interesting game.
