This pandemic has had many effects on a lot of things in our life since 2020. The world of sports was one of them. The NFL has been changed and affected in great ways due to COVID-19. In fact, in the 2021 season, we had multiple games being cancelled and postponed due to outbreaks. Fortunately, this wasn't a huge issue in 2021. They were still a lot of cases but no games were cancelled.

Whether or not we agreed with them or not, the covid protocols were extremely frustrating last year. Every week on average, 11 individuals per team missed some time due to those protocols. A good proportion of those people were players and they had to miss some games due to covid.

According to the NFL's latest data, 222 players tested positive between august 1 and december 25. This has been really hard to manage for the players, the teams and the fans as well.

The NFL has now changed the protocols for the players during the playoffs. The unvaccinated players are no longer required to be daily tested. This has resulted in no player landing on the protocols for the playoffs. Whether or not you like this idea, the results are good from a fan's perspective. We get to see all the players on the field, and we don't have to worry about the superstar players being out for non-injury reasons.
