Here's Why Bears' D.J. Moore Is the Most Underrated WR in the NFL
This past week, Bleacher Report released their list of the 7 most underrated wide receivers going into the season. Some of the players on the list were; Amari Cooper, Terry McLaurin, and Darius Slayton. All the guys on the list are underrated, but one particular player was missing, and he plays for the Bears.
Newly acquired Bears WR D.J Moore was snubbed from the list, even though he is the most underrated WR in the league. The Bears traded their number 1 pick for him, yet he is still being overlooked.
Like most of the players on the list, Moore has never been selected for a Pro Bowl, or was heavily featured when it came to marketing. Even without getting the recognition he deserves, he has still put up impressive numbers.
Moore played for the Panthers from 2018 until this offseason. From 2019-2021, Moore was showcasing over 1k receiving yards a season, without a star QB.
On the list, Darius Slayton was put at number 1. In all 4 seasons with the Giants, Slayton has been unable to get to 1k receiving yards, with a career best of 751 yards. How exactly is he more "underrated" than Moore?
Now, going into the season, it seems like the only people showing Moore respect are the Bears fans, further proving my point that he is the most underrated WR going into the 2023 season.
