While the 49ers haven't publicly disclosed any plans to shop Aiyuk, the general consensus in the NFL suggests that most players are available for trade under the right circumstances.
Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox recently outlined a potential "dream" trade scenario for all 32 teams this offseason. For the Las Vegas Raiders, Knox suggested trading Davante Adams and acquiring Aiyuk as his replacement:
"Aiyuk, who is entering the final year of his rookie contract, could be on the move if the 49ers decide they can't afford to extend him. He does not appear to be adamant about remaining in San Francisco.
Would acquiring Aiyuk be costly? Sure. Given the going rate of top receiversA.J. Brown and Marquise Brown both commanded first-round picks in 2022the Raiders may have to package their second-round pick along with a future first-rounder to secure a deal. Las Vegas probably isn't parting with the 13th overall pick.
However, moving Adams would allow the Raiders to recoup some draft capital while clearing enough future salary to sign Aiyuk to a lucrative extension."
Despite 49ers GM John Lynch's recent emphasis on retaining Aiyuk long-term, past instances in the NFL have demonstrated that such promises are not always upheld. Thus, the possibility of Aiyuk being traded cannot be completely discounted, especially if the two parties fail to reach a consensus on a long-term contract.
However, it's likely that Aiyuk ultimately remains with the 49ers. While the Raiders could benefit from adding a receiver of Aiyuk's caliber, their immediate priorities may lie elsewhere, such as addressing their quarterback situation and offensive line.
