He listed the Pittsburgh Steelers for James Daniels.
Daniels is a 24 years old offensive guard. He has experience playing pretty much every position on the offensive line. He has played very well since he joined the NFL. His value seems to be very high at the moment due to his young age. A 24-year-old quality lineman is extremely valuable.
During the 2021 season, Daniels had the best year of his career by far and he earned his highest run-blocking grade per Pro Football Focus. He showed consistency and power in that area and more importantly, he was able to stay healthy and start all 17 games.
While he will probably look at offers from other teams, he would be a great signing for the Bears. Like we mentioned earlier, solid interior linemen of his age don't grow on trees.
As for the financial aspect of it, we have seen projections for his next contract in the area of 7$ to $10 million per year. You could make a case that he would be worth paying that kind of money.
Take a look at him laying the BOOM on a linebacker. (Right Guard)
