Expressing frustration, Mendenhall vented, "I'm tired of hearing average white guys comment on football; they're not even good at it." The former Super Bowl champion suggested replacing the traditional Pro Bowl with an "All-Black vs. All-White" matchup to settle disputes about football prowess, adding, "I'm better than your 'GOAT.'"
While Mendenhall faced substantial criticism for his proposal, one notable figure, JJ Watt, weighed in without condemning it. The former Houston Texans defensive end acknowledged the potential challenges for the "All-White" squad, particularly in defending against Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill.
