"I don't get paid enough to have that conversation," Moore mentioned during an interview with NBC Sports Chicago at Super Bowl 58 Radio Row. "I think everybody knows where I stand. So let's see what happens."
Moore isn't alone in publicly backing Fields. Tight end Cole Kmet and linebacker T.J. Edwards have also voiced their support for him. However, they all understand the harsh realities of the NFL, where business decisions often dictate outcomes.
"It's one of those things where I've been in the league for a minute and understand how it goes. And it's a business," Edwards remarked. "You just wish the people who treat you well and the people who act the right way well, no matter what happens, and you root for them."
Kmet echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing Fields' positive impact on his own development while recognizing the uncertainties of the business side of football.
Fields made strides as a passer in 2023, but questions lingered. Now, with the draft approaching, Bears GM Ryan Poles and head coach Matt Eberflus face a critical decision: stick with Fields or opt for USC's Caleb Williams.
Many around the league anticipate the Bears selecting Williams and trading Fields, viewing it as the prudent choice. While Fields deserves credit for his resilience amidst Chicago's challenges, the opportunity to acquire a potential game-changing talent like Williams is hard to ignore.
