The Bears have officially ruled out Montgomery against the Giants this Sunday. Montgomery did not practice this week and was listed as out on the final injury report with ankle and knee injuries. Dane Cruikshank and Jaylon Johnson will also miss this weeks game.

Montgomery went out in the first quarter against the Texans and Herbert stepped in scoring 2 touchdowns on 20 carries with 157 yards to essentially win us the game, along with St. Brown's last minute pick.

This will be Herberts third start of his career after starting twice in 2021. Rookie sixth-round pick Trestan Ebner is expected to serve as Herbert's backup when the Bears (21) take the field against the Giants (21) this weekend.

I'm looking forward to see if Herbert can repeat what he did last week, although I'm sure we are all hoping Justin and Getsy remember what passes are this week as well. We should have an easy week against the Giants, and sitting at 3-1 is already defying the critics expectations of us this year.
