Laremy Tunsil is trying to change the narrative over one of the weirdest moments in NFL draft history. Back in 2016, a few hours before the draft, a 30-seconds video of Laremy Tunsil smoking marijuana out of a gas mask surfaced on the internet. This was not a great look at the time. The Dolphins finnaly drafted the offensive tackle with the No. 13 overall pick, ending his wild draft-day fall and capping one of the most memorable moments in draft history.

Well, today, Tunsil announced that he is trying to make this right:

For the past 6 years, I've been asked about this moment,» Tunsil tweeted. «The gas mask. I've spent 6 years trying to do rather than say on the field and off the field. Fall 2021 I spoke with @complex for the first time about this moment and today, the day before #draftday I'm officially moving on and putting this moment in the past.

«I'm minting a 1 of 1 NFT of the infamous gas mask video to be listed. A portion of the proceeds will benefit @lastprisonerprj which supports those incarcerated for cannabis offenses.

First of all, an NFT is a digital asset that represents real-world objects like art, music, in-game items and videos. They are bought and sold online, frequently with cryptocurrency, and they are generally encoded with the same underlying software as many cryptos. You can also use events, like sports highlights for example.

«Minting» an NFT is, in more simple terms, uniquely publishing your token on the blockchain to make it purchasable.

I have to give Tunsil a lot of credit for the way he is handling this difficult situation.

You know what they say: «Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.»
