Former Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Brandon McManus faces serious allegations of sexual assault from two flight attendants who filed a lawsuit against him in Duval County Circuit Civil Court. According to ESPN's Michael DiRocco, the incident allegedly occurred during the team's flight to London in September 2023.
The lawsuit, filed by two unnamed women, seeks over $1 million in damages. The flight attendants, working on the Jaguars' charter flight to London ahead of their game at Wembley Stadium, claim the atmosphere on board became inappropriate and unprofessional. Allegedly, McManus and other players disregarded personal boundaries and safety protocols, even allegedly encouraging other attendants to join a party atmosphere by distributing $100 bills.
One of the women detailed instances where McManus attempted to kiss her during turbulence and allegedly engaged in inappropriate physical contact while she was serving. The other flight attendant accused McManus of similar behavior and described feeling humiliated and distressed. Both women also included the Jaguars in their lawsuit, alleging the team failed to supervise McManus and ensure a safe work environment.
McManus has vehemently denied the allegations, calling them "fictitious and demonstrably false." His lawyer labeled the claims as an attempt to defame McManus's reputation.
The Washington Commanders, McManus's current team, and the Jaguars have acknowledged the lawsuit and stated they are taking the allegations seriously, with investigations ongoing.
