MAJOR Injury News For The Playoffs Picture
A few weeks ago, the Buffalo Bills placed DE Von Miller on IR due to a knee injury that was supposed to sideline him for 4-6 weeks.
However, a piece of terrible injury news was reported by Adam Schefter this morning. Indeed, Bills Coach Sean McDermott announces that Von Miller did have exploratory surgery yesterday and they ended up repairing his ACL. He's out for the season.
Miller and the team had mentioned on multiple occasions that they were hoping for him to be back this season for a potential playoffs push. However, it won't be the case as he is now definitely out for the remainder of the season, and maybe even more. This is a crucial loss for the Super Bowl-hopeful Buffalo Bills.
At the moment he got injured, Miller ranked third in the NFL in quarterback pressures (38) behind Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons (46) and Patriots linebacker Matthew Judon (39). No other Bills player has more than 12 pressures, with Miller's 216 pressure gap the largest in the NFL this season. Miller also lead the Bills in sacks (eight), pass rush win rate (23.7%), and pressure percentage (14.6%).
