According to Marriott, Irvin made racially charged statements and touched the accuser aggressively while visibly intoxicated. The hotel chain claims that Irvin approached the woman while making advances and asked if she knew anything about having a "big Black man inside of [her]." He also allegedly leered at the woman and made inappropriate comments to other employees.
Marriott alleges that two other hotel employees noticed the victim's discomfort during the incident. Irvin's legal team had previously claimed that the surveillance footage vindicated their client, but Marriott says that their summary of the footage was inaccurate and self-serving.
The hotel chain has filed a lawsuit against Irvin, accusing him of making false statements and denying the allegations of sexual harassment. Irvin has yet to respond publicly to the latest developments in the case.
