During a media briefing on Wednesday, Eberflus informed reporters, "He continues to work with the trainers. He's doing everything he can to progress, and it is progressing. He remains week-to-week."
As a result, Tyson Bagent is poised to make his second consecutive start on Sunday night against the Chargers.
Last week, Bagent delivered a strong performance, playing error-free football. Coupled with the Bears' strong defensive showing, the team secured a 30-12 victory at Soldier Field.
The former Division II standout completed 21 of 29 pass attempts for 162 yards and a touchdown. He also displayed mobility by scrambling for 24 yards while being sacked only once.
The absence of turnovers was a positive sign for Bears fans, who had seen their fair share of turnovers since Fields took over.
Hopefully, the former first-round pick can return to action soon. However, in the meantime, it appears that Chicago will continue to rely on Bagent in the coming weeks.
