Justin Fields was pretty solid in 2021. However, most experts believe that he was getting little to no help from both his offense around him and more importantly, the coaching staff.

But, we expect things to change this year. While we have not seen the new coaching staff in action yet, it can hardly be as bad as last season's. All of the new coaches have a great track record and I am thrilled with pretty much everything I have heard so far in interviews from them.

Here is what HC Matt Eberflus had to say to Adam Jahns of The Athletic on what makes Justin Fields so valuable for the Bears:

"When it becomes untimed, where it's past the normal time, and now he's dangerous. He's dangerous because now we want to be able to look down the field and strike people that way rather than running. That will make him extremely dangerous. -Matt Eberflus

I think he is right. While having a dual-threat QB is amazing, you would like for him to use his legs in order to throw the ball. Fields has shown the ability to move around the pocket and make throws on the run very precisely.

When you look at most great QBs in our game, they can all move around the pocket, avoid pass rushers and still make accurate throws down the field. Justin needs to be able to do just that even more frequently in order to take the next step.

The few clips below are great examples of Fields keeping his eyes down the field while avoiding pressure.
