The former Bears QB Trubisky, who signed with the Steelers as a free agent on a two-year, $14.3 million contract just a few months ago, completed only seven of his 13 attempts for 84 yards and an interception. Through 14 quarters this season, he has led the Steelers to only four touchdowns.
Trubisky appeared pretty angry with the situation.
Ian Rapoport reported that the Steelers are expected to move forward with rookie QB Kenny Pickett as the first-rounder is set to replace Trubisky in the lineup.
It will be interesting to see if Pickett is able to rejuvenate this offense that was pretty much invisible so far this season.
