Mitchell Trubisky explains his infamous kissing t*ties tweet
Mitch Trubisky has been in the headlines lately because he was the best quarterback available in free agency this off-season. He recently signed a two-year deal with the Steelers, that starts at $14.25 million but can escalate up to $27 million with various incentives. It's great to see how he has turned his career around since he left Chicago. While it's not amazing for the Bears franchise, it's great for him and he is a great kid!
However, an old tweet of his resurfaced and Trubisky explained the situation. Here is the tweet in question:
When he was asked in an interview with Barstool Sports, Trubisky laughed and said:
«One of my buddies tweeted that,» Trubisky told the hosts of the Pardon My Take podcast. «He's in the Chicago White Sox organization right now and we were in a basketball tournament the Arby's Classic,» in Tennessee, he said.
He then added: «You're in the hotel room with your buddies and you're just messing around on each other's phones or whatnot, and eight years later I find out that somebody tweeted it."
He would not name the player in question from the White Sox.
When the tweet occurred, Trubisky was only 17 years old so we can give him a pass. We wish Mitch the best of luck with his new team the Pittsburgh Steelers and hopefully, he can keep his Twitter account in check!
