In a new mock draft from NBC Sports' Alex Shapiro, he predicts that the Bears will draft USC QB Caleb Williams with their number 1 pick, which is a common choice, but also has the Bears selecting a top WR who will likely not be available by their 9th pick.
Shapiro explains in his mock draft that the Bears will trade up so that they can draft both Williams and Ohio State WR Marvin Harrison Jr.:
Shapiro believes that with the 2nd overall pick, the Commanders will draft a QB, along with the Patriots at number 3, they will skip on Harrison and instead draft LSU WR Malik Nabers, keeping Harrison available at 4.
If the Bears truly want to draft Harrison, then they must trade up. Shapiro believes that the Bears could pull off a blockbuster trade with the Cardinals to acquire the 4th overall pick.
Shapiro shows that the if the Bears trade their 9th overall, a 4th-rounder, and a 2025 2nd-round pick, then they can receive both the Cardinals 4th overall pick and a late 4th-rounder in order draft Harrison.
If GM Ryan Poles does believe that these moves can work, then there is a large chance that both Williams and Harrison will be in a Bears jersey next season.
