The docu-series, titled "Quarterback," will showcase Kirk Cousins of the Minnesota Vikings and Marcus Mariota of the Atlanta Falcons. The filming took place not only during the games but also at the players' homes.
Mahomes was named the NFL's MVP last season for the second time and has also led the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl championship twice in his career.
"I am thrilled for the fans to have an inside look at an unforgettable season for both the entire Chiefs organization and my family," said Mahomes. His production company, 2PM Productions, will co-produce the series. "Our crew was present for everything, from welcoming a new baby in the middle of the season to bringing the Lombardi Trophy back to Kansas City. This new Netflix series will highlight the dedication, preparation, and balance required to perform on the biggest stage as an NFL quarterback."
The series will be co-produced by NFL Films and Omaha Productions, with former quarterback Peyton Manning serving as Omaha Productions' executive producer.
"Playing quarterback in the NFL is a one-of-a-kind experience with some amazing highs and lows," said Manning. "Thanks to this collaboration with our partners at NFL Films, 2PM Productions, and Netflix, viewers will get a unique and personal glimpse into the life of a starting quarterback."
