New Report Reveals that Bears HC Matt Eberflus Defended QB Justin Fields During OC hunt
Since firing OC Luke Getsy, the Bears and HC Matt Eberflus have been on the hunt for his replacement.
The Bears then hired former Seahawks OC Shane Waldron as the replacement, and are now working towards a positive change.
With the changes we are seeing on the Bears, many of us are wondering what the team will do with their QB situation. With the number 1 pick at this years draft, it is starting to look like the Bears will be drafting a QB, but some report's believe for the Bears to stick with Justin Fields.
In a new article from NFL reporter Albert Breer, he explains how during the OC hunt, Eberflus made sure to explore options on what the team may do this offseason with their QB situation, but also made sure to defend Fields in the process:
Though the idea of being able to coach USC QB Caleb Williams is exciting for many OCs, Eberflus made sure to keep Fields as an option.
The Bears clearly are still not sure on what they will do with this QB situation, but we do know that Eberflus has Fields' back.
