After it was announced that newly released Bears DE Trevis Gipson wanted out of Chicago this past weekend, fans have been wondering why he felt this way.

Now, Gipson is setting the record straight, and even after several reports claiming he wanted out, he is denying the claim, via Twitter:

It was reported this past weekend that Gipson was requesting a trade, which made the release of him today understandable. However, Gipson is denying it.

Whatever the truth is, it is still hard seeing the Bears lose Gipson. He showed tremendous improvement this offseason and will be missed.
