NFL Changes Bio back to Original from Taylor Swift Topic After Facing Backlash, Fans Complaining of a Rigged Game
As we all know, Taylor Swift and the "Swifties," have taken over the NFL. Swift is arguably the biggest pop star in the world, so by having her attend NFL games, the NFL continues to grow. She is dating Chiefs TE Travis Kelce, so the swifties are all Chiefs fans right now.
Since Swift made her first appearance at the Bears vs Chiefs game, viewership rose up immensely, as well as Kelce jersey sales. More women are tuning into games, and the NFL is making a lot of money from this.
On Sunday night football, the Chiefs took on the Jets at MetLife stadium, and as we all predicted, Swift came to watch, along with her fellow celebrity friends:
Because Swift was in attendance, viewership rose, and now, the NFL is clearly milking the spectacle.
After the game, where the Chiefs beat the Jets 23-20, along with some bad calls by the refs, the NFL changed their instagram bio to read "Chiefs are 2-0 as Swifties," as well as changed their graphic to a photo of Swift:
This caused a lot of backlash, as fans believe the NFL rigged this game so that the Chiefs would win, in order to continue showing off Swift. The game ended with several bad calls, where the Jets were called for penalties, even when the Chiefs deserved the call:
