"NFL Owners Struggle to Reach the Votes Required to Oust Washington Commanders Owner Dan Snyder"

Amid mounting pressure to remove Washington Commanders owner Dan Snyder from the National Football League, a recent report suggests that NFL owners lack the necessary votes to force Snyder to sell the team. The 32 NFL team owners were hoping to reach a resolution to the ongoing saga by their annual meeting on March 26 in Phoenix, according to the New York Post's Josh Kosman.

However, a source close to an NFL owner stated that the owners cannot reach the 75% threshold required to force Snyder's sale of the team. With Snyder potentially attempting to run out the clock, the NFL may not even have the opportunity to remove him as owner. The NFL would require 24 votes to remove Snyder as owner.

Reports suggest that Snyder has told other owners that the sale of Washington is looking promising, with DC billionaire Mitchell Rales and Houston Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta among the potential buyers. Fertitta, who purchased Houston's NBA franchise for $2.2 billion in 2017, has submitted a bid of approximately $5.5 billion for Washington's NFL team, according to the Washington Post. However, Snyder reportedly wants $6 billion for the Commanders, creating a potential obstacle for any potential buyers.
