The Baltimore Ravens and Lamar Jackson are at an impasse in their discussions about their future together.

The team has utilized their non-exclusive franchise tag on the 26-year-old superstar, indicating their desire to retain him but leaving his value to be determined by the market, and the Ravens seem to have the upper hand.

Most of the teams with quarterback vacancies have publicly stated that they are not interested in the former MVP, and whether or not there was collusion among NFL owners, it appears that no one is willing to offer Jackson the guaranteed money he desires from either the Ravens or any other team.

Of course, the funds used to compensate Jackson will not come from the pockets of fans, which explains their support for paying their beloved player and their comical attempts to promote this idea. One Baltimore ice cream parlor, Charmery, has even created a specialty flavor called "Pay Lamar," which features a peanut butter and caramel base with roasted peanuts and chocolate chips.
