I know that we are still a long way away from the 2023 NFL draft. However, this does not mean that we are not allowed to get excited about the amazing prospects coming into the league!

Well, here is what Bears writer and lead draft analyst Jacob Infante had to say yesterday:

A lot will change before the 2023 draft, but I think the #Bears will fall in love with Jalen Carter next year.

He was the best Georgia DL on a team with 3 first-round DL this year. A lot (including me) are pushing for a Round 1 WR, but I could see Eberflus getting his 3-tech.

Despite how talented players like Jordan Davis, Travon Walker, and Devonte Wyatt are, many media members have claimed that the best defensive lineman from Georgia is still in school. Yes, even better than Walker who was the No. 1 overall pick this year.

That player, to no surprise, is Jalen Carter.

Last season, Carter recorded 37 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, one pass breakup, two blocked kicks and 30 quarterback hurries.

His 30 quarterback pressures should be something fans circle because that tells us just how ofter Carter got into the backfield. Not to mention he almost had double-digit tackles for loss. Those don't always happen for defensive linemen like that, but he is someone that made those plays happen.

He also posted the second-highest PFF pass-rush grade (90.0) among FBS defensive tackles

Here are a few of his best plays:
