Pat McAfee Gives Praise to the Bears After Benching Chase Claypool, Says that it was Their Best Move Yet (Video)
It has been quite the ugly season for the Bears so far. Drama on and off the field, a losing record, and just straight up confusion. This team is a mess right now, and it is hard to find anything good about them. However, Pat McAfee has found something to applaud them for.
On a recent episode of "The Pat McAfee Show," McAfee gave praise to the Bears, but not for their performance, but for what they did before the game.
As we all know, the Bears decided to rule WR Chase Claypool as a healthy scratch before Sunday's matchup against the Broncos. This benching decision came after Claypool disrespected his coaches in an interview, causing them to punish him.
McAfee liked this decision, and explains how this was the best move the Bears have made in a long time:
"Them benching Chase Claypool after Chase Claypool talked sh*t about the team - I think that is one of the best moves the Bears have made in a long time"
- McAfee saidIt sets the tone for the team of what is expected from players, and shows Claypool that he can't be talking smack about his coaches.
