"Linebacker Pernell McPhee had a disappointing stop in Chicago and was released by the Bears at the end of February. While he was mostly a starter during his first season in Chicago, he started less than half the games he played in during his time in Chicago. McPhee had a shoulder injury at the end of last season that ended his year, but that wasn't enough to scare off one team. JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington reports that McPhee has signed a deal with the Washington Redskins. The details of the contract are being finalized but it looks like he's on his way to the NFC East. McPhee's best season came in 2015, his first as a Bear as he put up a combined 53 tackles and one interception. He started more games during that season than during his four years in Baltimore combined.
