With day 2 of the 2022 NFL Draft just hours away, it's time for Poles and the Bears to prove just how seriously they are taking this rebuild. The direction Poles is taking us is exciting, he is not afraid to take risks and seeks out explosive talent and potential over big names and big checks. I believe Poles is the reality check Chicago has needed for some time and he could end upbringing in a very exciting new era for the Bears.
A lot of this hinges on what he does in the draft today. We have two picks in the second round as well as a high pick in the third. I can see Poles trading back but not up, so where does that leave us?
There are still plenty of big names in the draft such as Nakobe Dean, Malik Willis, and Breece Hall. Chicago has some pretty important positions of need to address on their roster, including wide receiver, offensive line, cornerback, and safety. I can see Poles trading back for more capital in the back end as we still have many roster spots to fill. What Poles does in the next two days is going to set the opinion of him going into the off-season.
I hope for all of our sakes that our faith in Poles to make us explosive again is well placed, and ill be biting my nails along with the rest of you this evening to see how it plays out.
