Shortly after the Bears season came to an end, the team fired OC Luke Getsy after 2 disappointing seasons. Though it seemed like Getsy's career in the NFL would be coming to an end, it was revealed that the Raiders were interested in hiring him. Now, the Raiders have officially hired him as their new OC. After this hiring, Raiders HC Antonio Pierce opened up about this decision:

As seen, Pierce explains how his matchup against the Bears this past season, where the Raiders were blown out, was a part of this decision. Back in week 7, the Bears and Raiders matched up, and even without Justin Fields, the Bears beat the Raiders 30-12, lead by Getsy's offense.
