Las Vegas Raiders (3-4) suffered a demoralizing defeat at the hands of the underdog Chicago Bears (2-5) this Sunday, and post-match, Coach Josh McDaniels shared his perspective.

The video of his remarks is provided above and the full transcript of his comments is below.

**JOSH McDANIELS**: "We struggled in all aspects. We didn't maintain possession, they outplayed us in ground control, controlled the line of scrimmage, and outperformed us on third downs. All in all, we have a mountain of improvements to make. We just weren't at the level needed to clinch a win."

**Q**: "Was the team unprepared?"

**JOSH McDANIELS**: "Not at all. We began with opportunities, even had a shot for an early lead with a field goal. Our players were spirited and eager for this game. The real issue was we lost momentum and started playing defensively. We need to address that."

**Q**: "Did you consider a quarterback switch during the half?"

**JOSH McDANIELS**: "The issues weren't entirely the quarterback's fault. He missed some chances, sure, but he tried. There was never a serious consideration to switch him out."

**Q**: "Two years in, and with the current struggles, would you rethink your approach?"

**JOSH McDANIELS**: "Everything's on the table. We've had competitive moments, but the need for consistency across the board is evident. Ultimately, the responsibility is mine. We must work collectively as a team and staff to enhance our productivity and effectiveness."

**Q**: "Why choose Brian Hoyer to start?"

**JOSH McDANIELS**: "I've observed him daily. After analyzing both him and Aidan's performances, I chose to go with the more experienced player. I stand by that decision."

**Q**: "Would you ever test Aidan's abilities?"

**JOSH McDANIELS**: "Yes, but remember, this isn't pre-season. When the main quarterback is unavailable, I aim for the best team decision. This loss isn't pinned to one individual. We all can do better."

**Q**: "Davante started strong but faded. Why?"

**JOSH McDANIELS**: "We always try to involve our best players. Defenses adjust, sometimes making it hard to access our key players. Davante and the quarterback began strong, but defensive strategies shifted. Our focus should be on early gains rather than recovering later."

**Q**: "Your thoughts on today's performance?"

**JOSH McDANIELS**: "Mixed. Some positive moments and then glaring misses. I need to revisit some plays, especially the initial interception. Our quarterback held firm and looked for openings. We all have areas to improve, and we'll address them moving forward."
