Recap: Bears Silence the Haters with Impressive Win
All season long, the Bears have gone up and down, but the doubters always remained. However, after Sunday's big win against the Falcons, those haters are a bit more quiet now.
The Bears faced off against the Falcons, who had a top 10 defense going into week 17. It was predicted to be a close game, especially with the Falcons coming off a big win over the Colts in the previous week. However, from the first drive of the game, the Bears were dominating.
The game ended in a Bears 37-17 point win. Falcons QB Taylor Heinicke, who went 22/33 with 229 passing yards the past week, finished the Bears matchup with only 10 completions on 29 attempts, along with 3 interceptions. The Bears defense was all over the field, and looked like a top 5 defensive unit.
Not only was the defense at its very best, but the offense looked powerful. This offense has struggled quite a bit this season, but yesterday, they looked like a contender.
Justin Fields went 20/32 on passing completions, with a total of 313 yards and 2 touchdowns with passing and rushing combined. WR DJ Moore also had himself a game, where he made 9 catches for 159 yards, along with 1 touchdown. This duo was unstoppable, and the Falcons defense looked scared.
Though the Bears will be missing the playoffs this season, they are finishing the year off on a great note, and this gives a lot of the fans something to be happy about!
