Wide Receiver Chase Claypool was drafted by the Steelers in 2020 as the teams 2nd round selection. In his rookie year in Pittsburg, Claypool became a fan favourite very quickly.

The Steelers had a strong 2020 season, where the team went 11-0 during the first 12 weeks. During those weeks, Claypool got much recognition, due to his solid performances on the field, as well as his infamous TikTok dances that went viral every week.

Claypool finished the 2020 regular season with 62 catches for 873 yards, along with 11 touchdowns. He was the real deal, and Steelers fans were thrilled.

All of the hype eventually vanished however, as Claypool's performance bagan to decline, and by the time the 2022 season rolled around, the Steelers felt like it was time to move on.

During the 2022 season, the Bears traded away their 2023 32nd overall pick in exchange for Claypool. Unfortunately, this trade ended up being a mistake for Chicago.

Since arriving to the Bears, Claypool brought nothing but a bad attitude and bad performances. In 10 games played with the Bears, Claypool only made 18 catches for 191 yards, along with only 1 touchdown. He was seen as a diva and his locker room presence became a big issue.

Since last season, Bears fans were ready to say goodbye to Claypool, but it seemed like Chicago was not. The Bears kept on giving Claypool 2nd chances, but then finally, they reached their breaking point.

Before the Bears week 4 matchup this season, Claypool told the media that he felt like he was not being used properly on the team, which upset the Bears coaches. They then decided to bench Claypool for both week 4 and 5, hinting that it was time to say goodbye.

Finally, after much speculation, the Bears traded Claypool to the Dolphins earlier today. Claypool is no longer a Bear, and fans are thrilled.

This 2022 trade will go down as one of the worst trades in Bears history, but at least now the team can move on and focus on who they have now.
