Redrafting the 2017 NFL class
A fun game that many sports fans like to play (especially Bears fans) is redrafting for your team. Let's look back at the 2017 NFL draft, and see what else the Bears could have done. Warning Bears fans: you may cry while reading this
The Bears had the 2nd pick in the draft, with very stacked options. With their pick, they went with the QB from North Carolina: Mitch Trubisky. In the moment, that pick made sense. He threw for 3,748 yards and 30 touchdowns in his final college season, making him look ready for the NFL. Well, that was not the case. Trubisky was no where near the player we all thought he would be, which makes us think about how things could have been different.
Want to know who was drafted AFTER Trubisky? Just to name a few we have: T.J Watt, Cooper Kupp, Christian McCaffrey, and Patrick Mahomes. Yes, I said Mahomes. He was picked at #10, and Bears fans have been living with the anger and regret for the past 6 years now.
So, if the Bears were to do it all over again, who would they pick? This may be the easiest question of all time: Mahomes.
Could you imagine Mahomes on the Bears? How many Super Bowl wins Chicago would have?
