While on the radio show Seattle Sports, Bishop confirmed a recent rumour. As said on the show, the former Seahawks star turned down this trade by using his no-trade clause. The Eagles "really wanted him" after the 2021 season, but Wilson was not interested. In the present, the Eagles are lucky, because now they have superstar Jalen Hurts, but back then, Wilson was the man to get.

Why was Wilson against this trade? Was he not interested in leading a 9-8 team? Was he scared that Hurts was going to steal his job? Many questions here, which continue the narrative that Wilson may be a bit of a diva.
