The Chicago Bears continue their endless search to land a quarterback. While there's reports that the Bears are going to meet or have already met with Mitch Trubisky about reconciling their differences, the word on the street is still that the Bears would like to move on. The dream is obviously Deshaun Watson however it just doesn't seem likely and some believe that Watson is still salty about the Bears not showing him any love leading up to the 2017 NFL Draft. The Bears and general manager then lost out on Matthew Stafford and Carson Wentz. One other trade target that the Bears have been heavily connected to going back to last year is Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr. There's been plenty of chatter that Carr and head coach Jon Gruden don't get along despite Carr continuously putting up numbers with no real receivers. However that trade possibility is also out the window. According to NFL insider Adam Caplan, the Raiders and Carr are actually looking at a contract extension. «[Derek] Carr may end up getting his contract extended. That's the belief around the league,» Caplan reported on Saturday. «They do not want to trade [Carr]. I can tell you that is a fact.»Looks like Pace will have to continue searching.
