According to a report by Dan Duggan of The Athletic, there's speculation surrounding the status of New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll as he heads into the 2024 season. Despite having three years remaining on his contract, Daboll's position is being questioned following a disappointing 6-11 season for the Giants. The organization, under GM Joe Schoen, has emphasized a rebuilding phase that requires time, but there's a growing sense in the league that this upcoming season is pivotal for Daboll's regime.

Daboll, who earned NFL Coach of the Year honors in 2022 after guiding the Giants to a surprising 9-7-1 finish and a playoff berth, faces pressure to turn things around amid internal changes and strained relationships within the coaching staff. Notably, Daboll's predecessors, Ben McAdoo (2016 to 2017), Pat Shurmur (2018 to 2019), and Joe Judge (2020 to 2021), were each dismissed after just two seasons at the helm. Given this history, it wouldn't be surprising if ownership opts to end the Daboll project should the Giants endure another losing season in 2024.
