The Chicago Bears were in the mix for Matthew Stafford and were making serious offers. Unfortunately there was no way to really compete with the Los Angeles Rams' offer of two firsts a third and Jared Goff. Stafford is now a member of the Rams and the Bears continue searching for their 2021 starting quarterback. According to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune they might be targeting another QB who's likely headed for a divorce with his team. Biggs reports that the Bears are in play to try and land Carson Wentz from the Eagles as long as head coach Matt Nagy gets provided a positive scouting report from an old friend in Doug Pederson. "The Philadelphia Eagles are rumored to be looking to move Carson Wentz.... some are speculating whether the Bears could be in play for Carson Wentz. You have to wonder what kind of a scouting report former Eagles coach Doug Pederson would provide his friend Nagy"Would you like to see Wentz as the Bears 2021 starting QB?
