"There hasn't been many highlights this season which has turned into a sad disaster for the Chicago Bears. However there's been a couple of bright spots when it comes to individual play. Sitting at the top of the list is Robert Quinn. The 31 year old set a new franchise record in the Bears win against the New York Giants as he recorded his 18th sack. "It's an honor," the soft-spoken Quinn said after the game. "At the end of the day, I'm just doing my job."Quinn also revealed that he spoke to previous record holder and Bears' legend Richard Dent who Quinn reveals joked about how Dent did it in 16 games.
"If it took 17 games, he would have called me and made sure I knew what the heck was going on," Quinn said with a smile. "It was quite funny. He said he had 17.5 and only started 10 games. He let me know the company I was in."
The Bears have a potential out in Quinn's contract this offseason, otherwise he's signed through the 2024 season.
