This signing comes after Bears QB Justin Fields left Sundays matchup with a dislocated thumb, and are now in need of gathering more QBs to fit the depth chart.
McSorley is best known for his college football days at Penn State, where he broke several team records, was named as a 3 Second-team All-Big Ten, and won both the 2016 Big Ten Championship and 2017 Fiesta Bowl Championship, as well as being named as the MVP for both.
McSorley was then drafted by the Ravens as a 6th round selection in 2019. Unfortunately, he struggled in the NFL, and had a hard time staying with a team long-term.
In 9 games played, McSorley has thrown for 502 yards for 1 touchdown and 5 interceptions.
Even with a rough few years to begin his career, I believe that McSorley could find the right system and fit well. Maybe that system will be with the Bears.
