RUMOR: Deion Sanders' Next Head Coaching Job Is Down To Two Teams
Deion Sanders is a wanted man and plans to reveal what program he intends to coach next season by Sunday, reports FOX13's Kevin O'Donnell.
The current head coach of Jackson State is believed to have narrowed down his choices to the vacancies at Colorado, Cincinnati
In addition to that, CBS News Colorado has learned the University of Colorado planned to offer Jackson State Head Football Coach Deion Sanders a starting salary of more than $5 million per year to become the next head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes.
Sanders' Jackson State Tigers have posted an 11-0 record this year and will play their final game of the season Saturday against Southern University in the SWAC Championship Game. Jackson State was 11-2 in 2021. Sanders appears to be entertaining offers from Colorado and Cincinnati.
As Hall of Fame cornerback Deion Sanders prepares to parlay his success at Jackson State into a bigger college job at Colorado or Cincinnati, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones thinks Sanders can go even higher than that.
«Deion is very capable of being a head coach in the National Football League,» Jones said Friday on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas, via Clarence E. Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. «You couldn't be talking to anybody that knows him any better than I do.»
