Brady Henderson of ESPN reports that Mannion, who spent the 2023 season with the Seahawks' practice squad, is set to transition into a coaching career. He's been appointed to the coaching staff of the Green Bay Packers, where he will focus on quarterback training and the passing game.
Sean Mannion's affinity for strategy and his profound knowledge of the game have long suggested a future in coaching. "Mannion's intellectual grasp of football has had many predicting his coaching career," Henderson shared on Saturday. "That path is now set to begin at Green Bay, where he'll bring his last season's experience from the Seahawks' practice squad into his new role."
Drafted by the Rams in 2015 from Oregon State, Mannion played in 14 NFL games. Throughout his career, he achieved a 60.9 percent pass completion rate, throwing for 573 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions. His final game was played in the 2021 season.
