With the Bears likely securing the number 1 pick, the two prospects that all analysts have been talking about were Williams and Harrison Jr, but this new mock draft says otherwise:
As seen, Yahoo Sports' Nate Tice has posted his mock draft, where he predicts that the Bears will draft North Carolina QB Drake Maye with their number 1 pick.
Maye has had a star quality season this year, and has been on many teams radars, just haven't seen much of him as a Bears prospect.
Maye is a big QB, standing at 6 foot 4 and weighing 229 pounds. He can fight off tackles with his strength, and can also use his feet with speed and excellent foot work.
In 26 starts in his college career, Maye has a record of 17-9, thrown for 8,018 passing yards, along with 63 touchdown passes, and only 16 interceptions.
Though these stats are impressive, and watching his game tape does showcase a lot of talent, I am still not so sure about the team drafting a QB.
I have liked what i've seen from Justin Fields these past few weeks, and truly do believe that he can become an elite QB with the right players and coaches around him.
But, if the Bears were to draft a QB, maybe Maye would be a better option than Williams?
