Ebner who is listed at 5'11», 206 lbs was a do-it-all RB for Baylor as a runner, receiver out of the backfield and punt/kick returner. Last season, he was named the Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Year and voted first-team all-Big 12 as a return specialist and all-purpose player.
He was a touchdown machine and by touchdown machine, I am not simply speaking from the one-yard line multiple times. No! I am talking about huge yardage before his touchdowns. As I watch his highlights I cannot comprehend how he was not off of the board sooner.
Out of his 23 total touchdowns in college, 11 of them were receptions! He had a total of 127 receptions in college and if you look at his highlight tape, you will see how explosive he is. I believe he will be the third running back on the depth chart and if he plays the way that he did in college, he could split time with Khalil Herbert. I see great potential for him to be used on third downs as a threat as a receiver. I can even see him split out as a receiver in certain formations. I am excited to see how Luke Getsy will use him in his offense.
