The Bears should target this Alabama superstar
The Alabama Crimson Tide has a history of producing elite receiver prospects. The prestigious program led by Nick Saban has produced two first-round receivers in each of the last two drafts.
Jameson Williams dominated the college football landscape in 2021 leading the SEC in yards (1261) and touchdowns (13). The speedy receiver is a big play waiting to happen. He stretches the field vertically better than anyone and is also very slippery with the ball in his hands.
Williams, unfortunately, suffered a torn ACL in the National Championship against Georgia. This could hurt his draft stock and could make him attainable for the Bears. Although knee injuries get a bad reputation in the sports world, it is not as damaging to a career as they used to be. It is very usual to see a player come back to his original form after surgery.
Receiver is one of the biggest needs for the bears, after the offensive line, with Allen Robinson hitting free agency. The high school track star could fit right in and be that number 1 target for Justin Fields and would form a scary duo with Darnell Mooney.
Let's not forget that Fields and Williams were teammates at Ohio State before Fields entered the draft.
