Hargrave, who turned 30 in February, had a career-high 11 sacks for the Eagles in the past season. He was a key member of a unit that recorded 70 sacks overall in 2022, which is the third-highest in NFL history. Additionally, he had 16 quarterback hits, 10 tackles for loss, and two fumble recoveries. His pass rush win rate of 17.2% when he played on the interior ranked third in the NFL, behind Chris Jones of the Kansas City Chiefs and Maliek Collins of the Houston Texans. Hargrave is known for his quickness off the line of scrimmage and his ability to push the pocket with his lower-body power.
Hargrave was originally drafted in the third round by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2016, coming out of South Carolina State. He signed a three-year, $39 million free-agent contract with the Eagles in the 2020 offseason. Throughout his seven-year career with the Steelers and Eagles, Hargrave has recorded 37.5 sacks, 64 quarterback hits, and 46 tackles for loss.
