One name that has surfaced as a potential replacement is Taysom Hill, the versatile player from the New Orleans Saints. Payton had the opportunity to coach Hill for five seasons in New Orleans, utilizing him in various roles, including as a quarterback. It remains uncertain whether Payton would consider deploying Hill as a full-time quarterback, but Hill's adaptability and multifaceted skills make him a valuable asset in any NFL offense.

The Saints have effectively harnessed Hill's unique skill set over the years, and he continued to contribute significantly in the past season. Hill completed six passes for 83 yards and one touchdown, rushed for 401 yards and four touchdowns, and even caught 33 passes for 291 yards and two touchdowns.
