This past weekend's episode of Saturday Night Live may not have had many standout moments, but one segment certainly caught the internet's attention.

Shane Gillis, who was previously dismissed by 'SNL' prior to his debut due to controversial remarks, returned as the host alongside 21 Savage as the musical guest.

Despite a rocky start with his monologue, the comedian managed to garner laughs throughout the episode with some of his sketches and spoof advertisements.

In one such ad parody, Gillis promoted the betting platform "Rock Bottom Kings," where users could wager on how far their friends' lives could plummet instead of traditional sports bets.

Gillis, along with Kenan Thompson and Marcello Hernandez, portrayed spokespeople for the service, with Gillis concluding the sketch by declaring, "You're not a loser your friend is."

Gillis, who is also known for co-hosting the popular podcast "Matt and Shane's Secret Podcast," made his return to the show as a host five years after his dismissal from the cast. In 2019, the 36-year-old was let go following the resurfacing of racist and homophobic jokes made on his podcast.

Despite the setback, Gillis has achieved success independently in recent years. He released a stand-up special on YouTube in 2021, amassing over 23 million views, and landed a Netflix special titled "Beautiful Dogs," which premiered last year.
