This Chicago Bear could win the NFL's most prestigious award
Jimmy Graham was nominated as the Walter Payton Man of the year award finalist for the Chicago Bears. It's the second year in a row he got that nomination.
The NFL has had a bad reputation lately in the media because of the lack of character shown by a small number of individuals. While those actions cannot be excused, it is a minority. There are so many amazing human being in the NFL that deserves the attention.
This award holds a special place in the NFL, but especially for the Bears nation. The late great Walter Payton was such a great player in Chicago and an even better person. He sadly passed away in 1999 but his legacy has lived on and his work in the community has been recognized every year ever since.
Jimmy Graham has been extremely involved in charity work this year. He has helped a lot of military members and veterans. Through his foundation, he gave away over 50 flights to veterans and, in each home game, he gave 2 tickets to a military member or a former one.
Graham also made a sizeable donation of over 6 figures to a charity named Ignite that helps young homeless people. He also took part in some thanksgiving turkey giveaways to former military members and to people in help.
The award winner will be selected this Thursday. While every award finalist without a doubt deserves to win, we would love to see an amazing person like Jimmy win it.
